The project ’Emotional Intelligence in Youth Work’ (EQ inYW) has developed an up-to-date and sustainable concept for educational opportunities for young people aged 14-25 that is unique in the purpose of supporting the nurturing of the Emotional Intelligence for a fulfilling life. Moreover the project has developed a parallel curriculum for youth workers, on the basis of the results of the work with youth groups, able to support and increase their ability to tap into their Emotional Intelligence at personal and professional level. The project through its actions has and will empower young people and youth workers and consequently also their local communities and the policy makers.

A booklet on the importance and relevance of the emotional intelligence in youth work is available – in printed version and online – as well as a manual with educational paths to support the emotional intelligence in young people and youth workers, titled “Switch it on!”.

The whole concept has been piloted with 17 staff from the partners, 300 young people during the experience and testing of the curriculum at local and international level, and other 18 youth trainers involved in youth training. Experts and stakeholders in the field of youth work and education have been reached with 6 multiplier events in Spain, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Slovenia and Germany.

All project results are accessible through the partners website and the dissemination platform of the European Union.
